Lacquered glass, also known as paint glass, is made from high-quality clear float glass or ultra clear float glass whose surface is deposited and baked with a layer of high-strength, durable, and corrosion-resistant paint. This permanently bonds the paint to the glass, creating a colorful but opaque finish that retains all the advantages of float glass. To protect the painted surface from scratches, a layer of protective paint in a different or similar color is applied during the production process.

Advantages of Lacquered Glass
  • Eye-pleasing with multiple color options
  • Customizable color
  • High durability and corrosion-resistance thanks to dual layers of protective paint
  • Suitable for deep processing
Applications of Lacquered Glass

Painted glass is suitable for use in the kitchen as a backsplash (to protect the wall from splashes), on cabinets, furniture and glass partition walls or doors, and indoor windows.

During use, people often apply a layer of PE plastic safety film to the back of the painted glass, making it become vinyl back painted glass or safety painted glass. Depending on the type of film used, safety painted glass is classified as CAT I painted glass or CAT II painted glass. If the glass breaks, the shattered pieces will stick to the safety film and cause no harm to humans.
