Within the bubbles, there are 60% of CO, 10% of CO₂, 8% of O₂ and 22% of N₂. The bubbles are good for the glass in heat isolation, thermal stability, infrared absorption and radiation resistance.

Opaque quartz rod is widely used in electronics, semiconductor field and other applications due to their high quality and excellent properties. It is made of high-purity quartz sand. It was pulled out from high temperature melting furnace using world advanced technology and equipment. After testing and improving, the outer surface and inner quality of the products meet international standard. The surface is smooth and the color is pearl-white. The purity of SiO₂ is promised to be more than 99.95%. The opaque quartz rod is designed with excellent properties including high purity, abrasion resistance (except hydrofluoric acid & hot phosphoric acid), fire resistance (melting point is 1650 centigrade), low coefficient of thermal expansion (5.5×10-7/centigrade) and excellent electrical property.
