Box Beam Welding Machine (Electroslag Welding)
Request a Quote
The steel box beam welding machine is a specialized electroslag welding system for high-strength welding of internal diaphragms to box column walls using vertical electroslag welding technology.
This vertical steel beam welding system features a cantilevered frame with a 3D fine-adjustment mechanism to align the water-cooled welding torch precisely with the workpiece. A horizontal oscillation device allows operators to set the swing width based on the molten pool size for consistent weld quality.

Welding Methods
We offer two distinct electroslag welding configurations to balance investment and operational costs:
-
- Consumable Nozzle Type (XD15) Simple operation and lower initial investment, but higher ongoing consumable costs.
-
- Wire-Electrode Type (XSD15) More complex setup with a higher initial investment, but significantly lower long-term operating costs.
Equipment Composition
-
- System Architecture: Simple operation and lower initial investment, but higher ongoing consumable costs.
-
- Main Frame: The cantilever frame serves as the primary structural skeleton, supporting the wire feeder and wire guiding tubes.
-
- Drive Mechanism: The traveling trolley is located at the base of the cantilever frame. A motor and reducer drive the entire frame and welding head assembly synchronously along the rails.
-
- Integrated Layout: The wire drum, water-cooling tank, control cabinet, and electroslag welder are all mounted on the trolley. Conductive devices are installed on both sides of the trolley and pressed directly onto the rails, ensuring a compact and efficient workspace layout.
-
- Precision Adjustment: A 3D fine-adjustment clamping mechanism for the welding head is mounted on the cantilever frame. It allows for lateral adjustment along the horizontal guides to ensure the electroslag welding nozzle is precisely aligned with the weld joint.
-
- Structural Integrity: The columns and beams are fabricated from high-grade structural steel sections, ensuring safe, reliable operation and an extended service life.
-
- Core Welding Components: The system utilizes a specialized ZHS-D wire-electrode electroslag welding control unit and a ZH7-1000 power source for consistent performance.
