Product Overview

The overfill protection system is a safety mechanism used during bottom loading of fuel tankers to prevent overflow accidents. The system includes an optic sensor probe and an explosion-proof socket. When the liquid level reaches a pre-set threshold, the sensor detects the presence of fuel and sends a signal to shut down the loading process, effectively preventing spills and ensuring operational safety.

Our 5-wire overfill protection system is fully compatible with industry-standard signal formats. The sensor is highly sensitive and designed for reliable detection of high liquid levels, integrating seamlessly with terminal automation systems and emergency shut-off controls. It supports interlock functionality with overfill prevention and grounding systems to halt fuel flow as soon as a high-level signal is triggered.

Features
  • Fully compatible with 5-wire signal standards used across the fuel loading industry
  • Equipped with a quick-connect interface for fast sensor replacement
  • High-sensitivity probe ensures early and accurate detection
  • Certified for use in explosive environments to meet international safety requirements

The sensor probe is installed inside the tanker compartment and uses optical detection to monitor liquid level. It is connected to the main controller, which sends signals to the terminal’s overfill control system and activates interlocks with the fuel loading system to stop fuel flow when necessary.

An overfill protection system prevents fuel overflow during loading operations. It enhances safety by detecting when the tank is nearing capacity and automatically stopping fuel flow, helping to prevent accidents, environmental contamination, and equipment damage.
