The manhole cover is one of the most essential safety components installed on the top of petroleum tanker trucks that serves as an emergency vent and pressure relief system, preventing tank rupture by allowing rapid venting in the event of internal overpressure, while also acting as a secure access point for maintenance and inspection. With over 17 years of manufacturing expertise, DESEINOR offers more than 20 specifications of manhole covers, available in aluminum alloy, 304 stainless steel, 316L stainless steel, and carbon steel. Standard sizes include 16-inch and 20-inch diameters, with common inspection port sizes of 250 mm and 300 mm, making them compatible with almost all fuel tanker models used globally.
Each manhole cover is equipped with features such as a blind port for optional installation of an optical sensor, vapor vent valve, dip tube, or other accessories. The design supports safe transport of gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and other light fuels. Selected by major oil companies and transport fleets around the world, our manhole covers are valued for their leak prevention, fire resistance, anti-corrosion performance, and full compliance with international safety regulations.
- The manhole cover is equipped with a built-in pressure vacuum vent and a rollover seal that prevents fuel leakage if the tanker overturns.
- Its two-stage opening mechanism safely releases residual pressure before the cover is fully opened, protecting operators during use.
- An integrated emergency vent allows rapid pressure release in fire conditions, with a rated flow capacity of 7,500 m³/h at 350 mbar to help prevent tank explosion.
- The spring mechanism used for emergency venting is corrosion-resistant, ensuring consistent performance in harsh or chemically exposed environments.
