High strength open body turnbuckles are used in riggings, and are popular components due to their small size, light weight and applicability to a variety of fixing devices with their adjustable tension. Under the same load, using a high strength open body turnbuckle reduces the weight by about 40% when compared to the use of a standard open body turnbuckle.
