Sedimentation Tank / Settling Tank
The sedimentation tank is specially designed for sewage treatment projects. The device is used to sedimentate suspended solids and flocculating constituents in order to realize solid-liquid separation. Compared to traditional sedimentation tanks, the Huaneng Jinhao sedimentation tank boasts higher sedimentation efficiency and occupies a smaller volume.
Design principle
The Huaneng Jinhao sedimentation tank is an assembly type tank that uses shallow depth sedimentation. In the sedimentation area of the device, there are many serried inclined tubes and an inclined plate that help to grab suspended residue. The water rises and flows along the inclined tubes or inclined plate, while the separated sludge slides to the bottom of the pond. The sludge is then expelled.
The sedimentation tank of the Huaneng Jinhao can improve the sedimentation efficiency by about 50% to 60%, and can also improve the treatment ability about 3 to 5 times in the same area compare to other sedimentation tanks. The sedimentation tank with different water flows can be designed according to the experimental data of original sewage, and the flocculant is often needed when using the device.
Main structure of the sedimentation tankThe high efficiency sedimentation tank includes the device shell, inclined tubes assembly and sludge bucket (sludge exhausting pipe).
The device shell is welded profile steel and steel plate, and the structure is tight and reasonable.
The inclined tube adapts the MPVC material, uses the profile steel as its supporting structure and can be installed obliquely with 60 degree angle in the sedimentation tank.

(1) The sedimentation tank uses the laminar flow principles to improve the treatment ability of the sedimentation tank.
(2) Since the device decrease the particle sedimentation distance, the sedimentation time is also decreased.
(3) Since the sedimentation area of the sedimentation tank is increased, the treatment efficiency is improved.
