Run Capacitor
Not all single phase AC motors will need a run capacitor. But when they do, they get compensated for their lagging power factor. Choosing the right running capacitor is the key to high motor performance and minimized power consumption. We supply running capacitors in many series, including CBB61, CBB60, CBB65A, and CBB80. These run capacitors are typically used on air conditioners, refrigerators, lamps and more.
The CBB61 series metallized polypropylene film capacitor uses a polypropylene film and a protective film with grid background as the dielectric which are metallized with zinc and aluminum on both sides which operate as the electrodes. The entire assembly is then potted in flame-retardant epoxy resin and packed into a square ABS plastic case.
Model SelectionThe CBB60 series metallized polypropylene film capacitor is specially designed for use on single phase AC motors to aid in their start-up and running.
Model SelectionIn applications where explosion is a major concern, the CBB65A series metallized polypropylene film capacitor might be your best bet. With the addition of a rupture disc, the film cap automatically cuts off its power supply in the event of overheating. As the dielectric loses its insulating capability over time, it produces too much heat leading to the deformation of the capacitor case.
Model SelectionThe CBB65B series metallized polypropylene film capacitor uses a thin layer of polypropylene film as the dielectric and adds metallic coatings to both of its sides via a process known as vacuum coating. The wound core then is potted in epoxy before being packed into an oval-shaped aluminum case.
Model SelectionThe CBB80 series of metallized polypropylene film capacitors are built in-house with advanced technologies learned from both home and abroad. The wound core consists of a thin layer of polypropylene film coated on both sides with conductive metal materials.
