The 1490nm pulse laser diodecan be used as a light source for OTDR device. It can produce the laser withthe wavelength between 1470nm to 1510nm. By detecting the reflection lightpulse with a built-in monitor, users can analyze the interior conditions forthe optical fiber simply from one end of the optical fiber. And we can get suchinformation as the length, node and break point of the fiber.

Our pulse laser diode hashigh output power for 60mW to 80mW and the IFP is 450mA. And pulse width is10us with the duty of 1%. Due to the large wavelength of the optical pulse, ithas less loss in the fiber. Therefore, the power consumption is lower for thesame transmission distance. The pulse width is between 5nm to 10nm, whichenables large capacity of energy and it can be used as a light source even inthe long optical fiber.
