ECVS series dual-channel speed sensor is based on the principle of eddy current (non-magnetic), it is suitable in conjunction with an aluminum pole wheel (or other conducting, non-magnetic metal) for generating two nominally 90° phase shifted square wave signals indicating the rotary speeds and the direction of rotation.

This dual-channel speed sensor uses light-weight target wheels made of aluminum alloy for its weight-saving construction, and the free-maintenance is ensured since that the measuring surface does not attract magnetic particles such as ferric powder or swarf. The speed sensor is ideal for operation in presence of ferric particles due to non-magnetic measuring system.
