Overview
The marine hydraulic sliding watertight door is used to open watertight bulkheads. These products meet the requirements of the SOLAS convention and standards set by CCS, ABS, DNV, GL, BV, and LR. Based on fire protection requirements, we have conventional A0 Class and fire protection A60 marine watertight doors. Our high quality products can be issued with product certificates from IACS members such as DNV and ABS per customer request.
Function
On both sides of the sliding watertight door, the power control devices are arranged to open and close the door, and a remote control device closing the boat door is installed in the wheelhouse. In addition, independent emergency manual hydraulic devices are provided on both sides of the door as well as the upper deck.
Hydraulic system
There are two types of hydraulic systems for the marine hydraulic sliding watertight door:
1. A set of centralized hydraulic systems with two independent power sources for multiple watertight doors. Each power source consists of a pump and an electromotor which can close all the doors simultaneously.
2. A set of independent hydraulic systems with power sources for each watertight door, comprised of a pump and an electromotor which can close the door.
Electric drive
Based on customer request, the sliding watertight door can also be electrically driven.
Components
1. The major structure of the door is welded with ship steel plates. Some components are of high strength material or stainless steel, and gasket is of neoprene.
2. Hydraulic components are mainly from domestically and internationally well-known brands. Electronic elements are from Schneider Electric or Siemens, and the protection code of electric devices meets the requirement of SOLAS.
A60 Class Introduction
Besides the features above, the A60 class marine hydraulic sliding watertight door also has the function of fire protection, which meets the requirement of IMOA.754 (18) and part 3 of “International Code for Application of Fire Test Procedures (FTP)". A fire resistance test (Type approval test) is carried out for the controlling device of the A60 watertight sliding door according to part 4 and appendix of “International Code for Application of FTP".
