Grizzly screens are used before crushing to remove smaller particles and feed larger materials more evenly into the crusher. A rigid bar screen surface separates material through the gaps between the bars, while the vibrating motion keeps oversized pieces moving forward. This design is well suited for coarse screening when the feed contains large, wet, muddy, or easily blocked materials. Grizzly screens are often used in heavy-duty applications where impact resistance, wear resistance, high capacity, and stable pre-screening are important.

Features
  • Grizzly screens have open bar decks and large-amplitude vibration that help keep the screen from clogging when handling wet, sticky, muddy, or reinforced materials. The open structure gives these difficult materials more room to move, so they are less likely to stick to the screen or wrap around the bars.
  • Equipped with parallel rigid bars, the grizzly screen keeps the material open and moving as it vibrates. Smaller particles pass through the bar gaps, while larger pieces continue toward the crusher or the next processing stage.
  • During operation, the bars create a self-cleaning effect that helps shake off mud, dust, and fibers, which buildup on the screen surface so the grizzly screen can run more steadily for longer periods.
