Our waterproof, oil repellent & anti-fouling yarn DTY is treated using low-temperature plasma surface modification process. It involves exposing the yarn to a low-temperature plasma, which is a highly ionized gas, leading to physical modification and chemical activation of functional groups (such as -OH, -COOH, -C=O) on the fiber. Subsequently, a low-temperature plasma-modified layer of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is deposited on the fiber surface, promoting a graft reaction with the fiber molecules to form a fully encapsulated nanofilm. The PTFE polymer on the fiber surface undergoes high-temperature baking, resulting in a unique microstructure resembling spiked mace structure (anti-splashing oil-proof anti-pollution fiber of spiked mace structure under patent ZL201921110558.X). This application mimics the biomimetic lotus effect, enhancing surface tension and thereby providing excellent water, oil, and foul resistance. Our waterproof, oil repellent & anti-fouling yarn is free from harmful perfluorinated compounds such as PFOA/PFOS, making it environmentally friendly.
The performance of our waterproof, oil-repellent, and anti-fouling yarn DTY surpasses several international standards due to its excellent water resistance. In terms of Chinese standard GB/T 4745, it achieves a high rating of level 5. Similarly, it scores a perfect 100 points according to the American AATCC-22 standard and also reaches level 5 in the global ISO 4920 standard. Furthermore, our yarn boasts exceptional air permeability and resistance to washing, enhancing its overall durability.
