Mechanical vapor recompression
The MVR evaporator is an advanced energy-efficient evaporation system that recycles its own secondary steam to reduce reliance on external energy sources. It compresses and reuses vapor generated during evaporation, making full use of latent heat from secondary steam and condensate within the evaporation system. By eliminating the need for fresh steam, the MVR evaporator delivers exceptional operational savings such as, over 90% reduction in condensate use, up to 80% savings in labor and roughly 60% reduction in required plant space.
The MVR system is ideal for continuous, large-scale evaporation in applications that demand high energy efficiency, such as lithium battery material processing, chemical concentration, and wastewater treatment.
- Evaporation capacity: 500kg/h-60t/h
- Evaporation temperature: 40-100℃
- Power consumption per ton of water: 25-100kW
- Fresh steam consumption: 0t/h
- Solid content in effluent: can be directly evaporated into crystals

Features
- Low operating cost: Replaces traditional steam input with mechanical energy, significantly reducing utility consumption and overall operating expenses
- Low-temperature evaporation: Capable of evaporating at reduced temperatures, making it ideal for heat-sensitive materials and energy-saving applications
Application
- Chemical industry: Used for the concentration, purification, and crystallization of various chemical solutions.
- Pharmaceutical industry: Widely applied in the concentration, purification, and drying of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates.
- Pulp & paper wastewater treatment: Effectively removes fibers, fillers, and chemical additives from wastewater, enabling resource recovery and reduction of treatment costs.
- Environmental protection: Applied in industries such as textile dyeing, papermaking, metallurgy, rubber, and cement to concentrate inorganic and organic salts, ensuring wastewater meets discharge or reuse standards.
- Fruit juice concentration: Utilizes low-temperature, low-pressure evaporation to remove moisture efficiently while preserving the flavor and nutritional quality of the juice.
- Other applications: Also suitable for electroplating wastewater, textile dyeing effluent, desulfurization wastewater, salt production, and seawater desalination.
What is the function of the compressor in an MVR evaporator?
What is the function of the compressor in an MVR evaporator?
The compressor pressurizes the secondary vapor generated during evaporation, increasing its temperature, pressure, and enthalpy. This upgraded vapor is then reused as the heat source for continued evaporation, significantly improving energy efficiency.
Can MVR evaporators handle high-viscosity liquids?
Can MVR evaporators handle high-viscosity liquids?
Yes. MVR evaporators are capable of processing high-viscosity liquids. They are often designed with forced circulation or scraper mechanisms to ensure uniform flow within the heating chamber, preventing localized overheating and scaling.
