Counter Current Decantation (CCD) Thickener
Application
The counter current decantation (CCD) thickener is mainly in the gold cyanidation process and can be applied for the operation of decantation and dehydration in indutries of hydrometallurgy, light engineering, and chemical engineering.
Working Principle
The CCD thickener machine usually consists two of three thickeners aligned in vertical direction. In a two-storied thickener, clear water will be added into the upper and the lower thickener to wash the fed slurry. The precipitated slurry on the upper tank will be slowly scraped by the rake and enter the second thickener through the central discharge point. Having been washed there, the ore slurry then settles down to the bottom, where the rake slowly rotates and collects the slurry in the central discharge point. The used water will flow upwards and enters the next stage after overflowing the weir of the upper thickener.
This counter current decantation thickener can finish 2 to 3 wash can decatation operation.
The thickener takes up little space, saves investment, reduces operation and management.
