A hydraulic cylinder is a type of hydraulic actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy by linear mechanical or rotational motion. It has a simple structure and is reliable when used. As it eliminates the need for deceleration devices, there's no transmission clearance and its motion remains stable; thus, it's widely implemented in various mechanical-hydraulic systems. The output force of the cylinder corresponds to the effective area of the piston and pressure difference between both sides of said piston. Composed mainly by a cylinder barrel, cover, piston rod, seal as well as buffer and exhaust mechanisms (which are application specific), it offers an efficient solution for many purposes.
