AV6416 Optical Time Domain Reflectometer
The AV6416 optical time domain reflectometer is intended for FTTx applications. It measures fiber length, overall attenuation, connector loss as well as other parameters, and it could also locate event and fault in fiber networks. As a result, it has been used extensively in fiber optic communication systems (for construction, maintenance and urgent repair) and fiber optic cable factories (for R&D, production and test).
Feature
1. Owing to the implementation of state-of-the-art two-shot molding process, this automatic optical fiber tester is exceptionally robust, and its light weight makes it very easy to carry.
2. The optical time domain reflectometer has an ultra-short event dead zone which is only 1.6m, so it is particularly suitable to test fibre optic links and patch cords.
3. With the Windows CE operating system and Chinese/English operation interface, this palm OTDR offers extra convenience during operation, and its anti-reflective LCD makes it easier for operators to check data even in field environment.
4. Our product has two USB ports, and it may communicate with PC via ActiveSync. In addition, the standard format is Bellcore GR-196.
5. The large-capacity Li-ion battery could work for 10 hours, and remaining battery capacity is displayed on the LCD while warning message will be sent out when battery is low.
6. Our optical time domain reflectometer uses a visual fault locator to identify breaks and faults, and its optical output tip allows easy replacement and end face cleaning.
Function
1. Automatic Test
Operators just need to insert fibers into corresponding port and click TEST button after that, then, this fiber optic reflectometer will automatically optimize testing condition and offer accurate result, such as test curve, event log, etc.
1. Insert fiber
2. Press "TEST"
2. Fast Data Analysis
The optical time domain reflectometer could locate event and fault points in the test curve rapidly and accurately, and relevant information will be displayed in the form of event list. This is very meaningful for maintenance personnel who are responsible for fiber-optic communication lines because in this way, testing efficiency is enhanced, and no specific expertise is required.
3. Efficient File Management
This single mode OTDR allows users to save, check and delete data stored in its HDD or U-disk, and it could be connected to PCL-based laser printer or ink-jet printer to print test reports. Moreover, it also realizes fast data communication with PC, and this is achieved with the help of ActiveSync software and USB cable.
4. Convenient Visual Fault Locating
Thanks to the visual fault locator, our optical time domain reflectometer could find break points or points with high attenuation in short-distance fiber optic lines, thus facilitating maintenance personnel to take corresponding measures.
Test Mode
1. Manual Test
The manual test mode provides exceptionally accurate result, and it fits for skilled users who have proficient knowledge about optical time domain reflectometer. Under this mode, users could select real-time testing or average testing to meet practical needs. In particular, real-time testing rapidly detects dynamic change of the fiber optic line, and it is designed for places where real-time monitoring or splicing result is necessary.
2. Auto Test
The auto test mode is intended for stable fiber-optic communication lines, and it offers more accurate results since it minimizes the detection noise by conducting several tests to get an average result. Apparently, the number of test has a big influence over the final result, and more tests are preferred when high precision is required, but more time will be needed if so.
3. Dead Zone Test
The dead zone test mode is applicable for ultra-short fibers, such as patch cords. For this mode, if better result is expected, the return loss at fiber end shall be greater than 40dB.
