Self Erecting Tower Crane
Also known as fast erecting tower crane, self erecting tower crane is able to lift itself rapidly, which is clearly indicated by its name. It has developed into an independent series from slewing crane and tower crane. Like self-climbing tower cranes, it is extensively used in modern construction projects. With its loading moment ranging from 16 t·m to 180 t·m, it is usually applied for civilian buildings with 8 to 12 stories.
The self erecting tower crane has many advantages. First, it requires no concrete foundation, thus contributing to energy conservation and environment protection. In addition, transportation cost can be reduced considerably because it can be directly transported by a truck. Most importantly, the self-erecting crane is designed with safety features. The driver is able to operate the crane on the ground, which eliminates working at height. Moreover, mechanical automatic assembly method reduces risks and improves safety greatly.
