Glass Lined Agitator
Corrosion-resistant vessel agitator for chemical and pharmaceutical applications
Glass lined agitators are widely used in chemical and pharmaceutical processes where both strong mixing and corrosion resistance are required. The vessel agitators are made from steel plates that are coated with enamel and cured at high temperatures. This process creates a smooth, durable surface on the blades, making them resistant to acids, alkalis, and many solvents commonly used in production.
Among the different types of agitators, hydrofoil agitators are often chosen because their blade design lets liquids flow smoothly, making mixing faster and more even. This design creates strong axial flow, which reduces dead zones inside the vessel and shortens mixing time. In practice, this means that processes such as dissolution, heat transfer, and suspension of solids become faster and more consistent.
Compared with frame, anchor, paddle, and impeller types, hydrofoil agitators offer:
- Uniform mixing to shorten processing time by about 20%.
- Lower energy consumption, with power consumption reduced by more than 30%.
- Improved product yield since better circulation reduces material loss and keeps results stable.
