Plastic Lined Steel Pipe (for Water Supply)
Standard:
CJ/T136-2007- Plastic lined steel pipes for water supply
Application
The plastic lined steel pipes from Jinghua are mainly designed for water supply system. In addition to that, they are great for transportation of other fluids such as gas, chemicals, etc., as well as for fire pipeline and heating pipeline construction.
Materials Grades:
Steel pipe: S185, S235, S355, SS330, SS400, SM490
Lining materials: PE, heat resistant PE-PR
Specifications:
DN15(21.3), DN20(26.9), DN25(33.7), DN32(42.4), DN40(48.3), DN50(60.3), DN65(76.1), DN80(88.9), DN100(114.3), DN125(139.7), DN150(168.3), DN200(219.1)
Main Technical Indexes:
1. Construction: The plastic lined steel pipes are manufactured from hot dip galvanized pipes lined with polyethylene under high temperature and high pressure. They comply with the standards of CJ/T136-2007, GB/T 17219 and GB5749—2006.
2. Plastic lining thickness:
DN15~ DN65: 1.5±0.2mm;
DN80~DN125: 2.0±0.2mm;
DN150~DN200: 2.5±0.2mm
3. Appearance: PE lining of the water supply pipes is smooth without bubble, crack, peeling, scratch, pitting, uneven color and discoloration.
4. Bonding strength: The bonding strength between steel pipe and PE lining is not less than 0.3MPa.
5. Good performance in hydraulic test: Our polyethylene-lined steel pipes all go through the hydraulic test and perform well. Based on the standard of GB/T3091-2008, the maximum testing pressure is 5.0Mpa.
6. Hygienic property: The plastic lined steel pipes for water supply are up to the standards of GB/T17219.
7. Service life: Generally, the pipe can be used for 50 years
Usage and Trouble Shooting:
1) Connection: Screwed connection for the plastic lined pipe with a diameter of less than DN100 and flange or clamp connection;
2) Cutting: Use sawing machine, lathing machine and hand saw to cut the pipes. Cutting by using high speed grinding machine, die head threading machine and pneumatic cutter is not accepted. This is because these cutters produce over high pressure or pressing force during cutting which will probably melt and deform the plastic lining and after cutting, scraper is inevitably used to correct the cut of pipe.
3) Thread machining: Both manual and electric pipe threading machines are available to machine the threads of the pipe to the standards of GB/T7306.2. Cooling is needed during threading.
4) Installation:
a. Cutting face (end face of the pipe) is sure to be vertical to the pipe;
b. After cutting, remove burr, oil, water and chip from the end face, and bevel 1/2 thickness of plastic lining by 10°-15°;
c. Wind seal tape or anti-rust strip seal around the thread;
e. Take reliable anti-corrosion measurement before outdoor underground pipe is buried under the frost line, and take anti-freezing measures if it is likely to be freezed.
Attentions
1. Working pressure is not more than the nominal pressure of pipe.
2. Heating is forbidden to bend the plastic-line steel pipe.
3. The pipes should be stored flatwise in cool place or indoor area, away from heat source and fire. They can not be placed in the direct sunlight and freezing environment. Rain cover should be used if the pipes are stored in open air.
