Environmental test chamber tests the stability and durability of materials under long-term UV exposure

Beier’s UV test chamber is a kind of experimental equipment specially used to simulate the effect of ultraviolet radiation on materials. It uses high-intensity UV lamps to simulate the ultraviolet components in sunlight, and cooperates with the temperature and humidity control system to accurately replicate various climatic conditions. The specimens will be exposed to continuous ultraviolet radiation in the test chamber, and will experience the alternating effects of high temperature, low temperature, humidity or dryness and other environmental factors to accelerate the aging process of the material.

UV aging test chambers are often used in the automotive industry, photovoltaic industry, aerospace industry, non-metallic materials industry and others.

Standards
UV test chamber complies with standards: IEC61215, IEC61646, GB2423, ISO4892-2, IS4892-3.

Applications

UV test chamber is widely used across various industries for simulating and accelerating durability and stability testing of products in UV environments. For example, it can be employed to assess the quality and performance of various products to ensure stability during long-term use and exposure to external conditions.

  • In the textile industry, UV test chamber is commonly used for colorfastness testing. Outdoor textile products such as tents, raincoats, and umbrellas may be affected by factors like light exposure, water, and high temperatures. UV test chambers can simulate these environmental conditions to evaluate the color changes, tensile strength, and waterproofing performance of textiles.
  • In the field of new energy, UV test chamber finds extensive application. For instance, in testing solar photovoltaic modules, UV test chambers can subject the modules to prolonged aging tests, assessing performance degradation and lifespan changes under different environmental conditions.
  • UV test chamber can also be utilized for testing electric vehicle batteries, simulating usage environments under various climatic conditions to evaluate the stability and lifespan of the batteries.
Features
  • Simulates UV radiation and condensation in natural sunlight to accelerate weathering tests for materials like plastics, coatings, inks, adhesives, and textiles.
  • UV test chamber can simulate various complex environmental conditions including rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness.
  • Reliable temperature-controlled light source allows for stable long-term operation, with adjustable light intensity to ensure accurate test results.
  • The UV test chamber is available in various specifications including single-door and double-door models to meet different customer requirements.
  • This UV accelerated weathering tester allows adjustment of airflow, velocity, and direction via airflow plates to ensure smooth air circulation. Optional surface temperature control function ensures samples reach specific test temperatures.

UV test chamber is an environmental test chamber that utilizes fluorescent UV light as its light source to determine the weather resistance of materials such as plastics, leather, rubber, and fabrics under specified conditions.

While UV radiation constitutes only 7% of total sunlight, it plays a decisive role in material aging. Through aging test equipment, the lifespan of materials under UV conditions can be evaluated. Generally, UV test chambers can simulate not only UV radiation but also cyclically replicate condensation, high temperature, high humidity, and nighttime conditions.
