In the process of fishing, preservation always attracts great attention. Fish is more likely to spoil than animal meat, and spoil will increase in high temperatures. Marine quick freezing acts as a good way to solve this problem, but it can’t popularize due to the limitation of equipment conditions. At present, ice-fresh is still the main method for the preservation of marine catches. Large fishing vessels can be equipped with flake ice machine or flow ice machine, which can make ice with the power on the ship after leaving the harbor. Small fishing vessels can fill its container or cabin with ice before leaving the harbor; and cover the catches neatly and tightly on the ice; then sprinkle a layer of ice evenly on the fish layer, so that one layer of ice and one layer of fish can be spread to the top of the container or cabin. In this way, catches can be cooled to 0 ~ 1 ℃and keep fresh in 7 ~ 10 days. This method can maximize the economic efficiency of the catches when it reaches the wharf, or goes to the frozen warehouse for storage, or to the fish market for sale, or to the aquatic product processing workshop.
