Welded Steel Pipe and Tube
Made of Q195A, Q215A or Q235A steel, our welded steel pipe is generally used for transportation of low-pressure fluid. In terms of shape of the welded seam, our welded pipe is divided into longitudinal seam welded steel pipe and spiral seam welded steel pipe. During production process, both kinds of steel pipes all need to go through hydraulic test, bending and flattening test. Therefore, the surface quality should be good enough.
Longitudinal seam welded steel pipe features simple production process, high production efficiency and low production cost, thus contributing a relatively low price. The production of spiral seam welded steel pipe is time-consuming and can be conducted only with thin-wall steel pipe. As a result, its production cost is really high. Therefore, longitudinal seam welded steel pipe is more popular.
The production cycle is 7 days. Afterwards, certain quantity of samples will be extracted for test, which lasts for 3 days. Steel pipe up to the standard will be transported to our warehouse to get packed in bundles, while unqualified welded tube is ranked as defective products and will be put into the old warehouse for further treatment.
Generally, the welded steel tube has length ranging from 4 to 10 meters. We can produce steel pipe with fixed length or double length if required. (Note: we are able to produce steel pipe with a fixed length that customers ask for, not with random lengths. Fixed length: the size of larger container used for loading at the port is not greater than 12m, while the size of smaller container is not greater than 5.8m. Hence, customers can choose a fixed length in accordance with loading requirements. Double length: fixed length multiplies 2. Steel tube shorter than 12m can be fitted in a 12m container. For example, customers need steel pipe with fixed length of 6m. However, the production equipment works only with a mold for 12m. 6m multiplies 2, which is 12m. In such situation, we will deliver steel pipe with 12m to customers.)
The outer diameter of our welded steel pipe is ranging from 6mm to 2m, while the thickness varies from 1 to 200mm.
