Working Principle

The high-pressure pilot-scale homogenizer utilizes a high-pressure reciprocating plunger pump to pressurize the sample and forces it through an adjustable homogenizing valve assembly. The sample is then subjected to intense compression. When passing through the narrow flow-limiting gap in the homogenizing valve, the high velocity and pressure create cavitation, turbulence, and shearing effects that disperse and homogenize aggregated particles.
