Double-shaft shear shredder is an efficient solution designed specifically for processing municipal solid waste. It effectively reduces waste materials into smaller, more manageable particle sizes, making subsequent treatment stages smoother and more efficient.
Powered by a fully automatic motor, this shredder uses a high-torque, low-speed shearing action. Two counter-rotating shafts, equipped with interlocking fixed and movable blades, work together to cut through materials, breaking down solid waste into suitable shapes and sizes. This design handles a wide range of materials—from soft and flexible to hard and bulky—while preventing issues like material entanglement, blockage, or jamming, even when processing mixed waste streams.
With a shredding capacity tailored to match the throughput of your pretreatment system, the double-shaft shear shredder delivers output sizes typically ranging from 60 to 80 mm, adjustable to meet specific requirements.
Another key feature is the blades’ on-site repair ability; when the cutting edges dull, they can be restored efficiently using weld overlay technology, extending the lifespan of the equipment andreducing downtime.
