Carbon fiber mesh is a grid-type reinforcement fabric woven from high-quality carbon fiber filaments, such as those produced by Toray (Japan). It is designed for use in combination with high-strength spray-applied mortar or cementitious overlays for structural reinforcement applications.
This mesh is ideal for flexural strengthening, axial compression enhancement, seismic retrofitting, and crack control reinforcement. Its non-corrosive nature, light weight, and excellent mechanical properties make it suitable for both interior and exterior structural upgrades in concrete-based systems.

- Fast and efficient installation: No surface leveling or pre-repair required before application; compatible with large-scale spray-applied mortar, significantly improving construction speed
- Excellent durability: Made from inert carbon fiber, the mesh is non-corrosive and provides alkaline protection to existing rebar; resistant to carbonation and chloride-induced deterioration
- Fire resistance: A 1 cm mortar cover meets the fire protection requirements of ISO 834 F60
- Moisture-tolerant application: Can be applied to damp substrates without standing water; surface pre-wetting is sufficient and no strict humidity control is required
- Minimal added thickness: Strengthening typically requires only 1.5–2 cm of mortar, helping reduce the overall thickness of sprayed concrete (e.g., in tunnels, thickness can be reduced by approximately 4 cm)
