J30J Series Rectangular Connectors
The J30J series rectangular connector is militarily unique because it must operate at relative humidity up to 95%, endure temperatures from -55°C to 125°C and severe vibration. This military connector is built to GJB2446 General Specifications for Polarized Shell, Miniature Rectangular Electrical Connector. It is intermateable with the MDM connector which is the norm in North America.
Several important improvements have been made on this J30J series rectangular connector over previous J30 series, such as the addition of an aluminum shell and various aluminum alloy clamps. Stranded terminal pins are used to provide 7 contact points in one contact, which in turn assures sound contact. The contacts are densely packed with 1.27mm spacing. A small-size, light weight body houses a number of pins, 9, 15, 21, 25, 31, 37, 51, 66, 74, or 100. Acceptable cable cross-sectional areas vary from 0.07 to 0.15mm2. The end of the terminal can be wired upon your request. The locking mechanism is assembled with this military connector. If you don’t need any locking mechanism, please notify in the contract.
