The 74° flare adapter is designed to match pipes in 5mm to 34mm diameter, allowing the passage of oil, water, and gas, among various corrosive and non-corrosive media. The hose adapter is joined to the pipe via welding for a reliable, leak-proof connection, and has found wide use in refinery, chemical engineering, textile, national defense, metallurgy, aerospace, and ship building industries.

Longye 74 degree flare adapter is made of type 20 or 45 steel and has been put through zinc trivalent chromate plating to obtain a clear or multi-color finish. The threaded flare fitting is of vital importance for the proper function of any hydraulic line installed on construction machinery and machine tools.

Note
The 74 degree flare adapter gets its name from the 74°flare or conical seating surface of the adapter that provides metal-to-metal sealing against pressure and leak. Of course the adapter can use rubber o-ring seals for reliable leak-free performance.
