Warping Machine Reeds
Warping machine reeds are mostly used on jacquard machines or warp knitting machines in order to rewind yarn hanks onto loom beams. They act as a guide, and maintain the warp thread position through multiple holes on each needle. The needle hole smoothness and wear resistance are the largest concern as yarn passes back and forth through these holes. Because of this, all warping machine reeds are nickel plated to improve their strength. However, if your reeds are used on double bar raschel machines, we recommend processing needles with a chrome plating as it supports a higher tension than regular warp knitting machines.
The needle hole smoothness is improved through precise fabrication, including high pressure stamping, chamfering, polishing and so on. For clients with higher requirements on product quality, we adopt a chemical deburring process to ensure the inner needle hole smoothness.
