Vibrating Feeder
Applications
A vibratory feeder is commonly placed next to a jaw crusher for feeding large-size ores or rocks uniformly and at a constant flow rate. It is typically found in cement, chemical engineering and mining industries.
Components
The vibrating feeder features an open box (bucket) that contains metal bar grating (grates). The entire framing is supported by several spring dampers. Next to the box is a motor mounted on a motor base, which acts as a vibration exciter.
Compact and simple structured, this feeding equipment uses advanced shaft coupling for power transmission. It is easy to repair, durable and cost-effective, eliminating the problem of the V-belt shaking loose due to severe vibration. Metal bars are properly spaced apart to remove dirt and other impurities trapped in the material flow. Feed capacity is adjustable according to the line demand.
Working Principles
As the motor rotates, it spins an eccentric shaft at high speed. The eccentric weight generates centrifugal force that causes the bucket to vibrate periodically. During that time, materials on the bed gradually slide out of the vibrating feeder.
Advantages
1. Rivet bolts do not come loose even under heavy load conditions.
2. Steel plates used to construct the bucket are at least 6mm thick.
3. Quality springs are of 60SiCrVa steel for high tensile strength and yield strength.
4. NSK bearings deliver a low coefficient of friction, allowing a maximum rotary speed close to that of a deep groove ball bearing.
5. Brand-name three-phase asynchronous motor is used to power the vibrating feeder.
