Disc Screen, Disc Separator
Disc screens are made up of a series of rotating discs that effectively separate wastes of different sizes and weights, while a blower is used to separate combustible waste, and a contaminant screen is equipped to discharge small volume waste such as broken glass shards. The rotating discs can be provided in a variety of shapes, including pentagons, octagons, and stars.
15 to 20 discs are installed on the rotor shaft at regular intervals according to the desired screening parameters. These bearings are driven by synchronized motors. Disc screening provides superior agitation compared to other types of screening systems.
Disc separators are common pieces of equipment used in the waste treatment industry for the sorting of mixed industrial waste and waste from recycling plants.
- Organics can be effectively screened from mixed waste
- Various types of discs can be quickly and easily replaced according to different separating needs
- Low maintenance costs
- Modular design easy for maintenance.
- Prevents screen blinding caused by wet waste
