Series Reactor
Typically running on alternating currents, a series reactor is often connected in series with a power factor correction capacitor to prevent fifth, seventh, eleventh, and thirteenth harmonic resonance. The reactor reactance ranges from 4.5% to 6% of the capacitor reactance. When operating at the fifth harmonic, the reactor delivers a reactance as high as 6%. At the third harmonic, the reactance is 12~13%, at the second harmonic, 26%~27%.
Haolai series dry-type reactor is safe, fire resistant and pollution-free. It can be directly placed at the load center. Imported epoxy resin is used to provide optimal insulation.
Mechanically strong and reliable, our series reactor is efficient at limiting short-circuit current, delivering minimized partial discharge, low core loss, and reduced noise level. It is maintenance free and energy saving, suitable for working under high-humidity conditions.
