The 3-roll mechanical symmetrical plate bending machine has 3 symmetrically-arranged rolls and the upper roller is located at center of two lower rolls. A worm and gear drive and a screw rod and screw auxiliary drive are used to drive the upper roll to move vertically. The gear mounted on main speed reducer is utilized to mesh the gears of the 2 lower rollers for rotary motion so as to provide torque for the plates. A permanent plastic deformation will be realized upon the metal plates placed between the 3 rollers after a series of continuous bending operations, so the plates will then be formed into cylinders, cones, arcs, or any other shapes we want. While this kind of 3-roll bending machine also has some inadequacies: it is difficult to conduct pre-bending operation upon the plate ends.
